Bigfoot ‘seen’ in Chinese nature reserve.

BIGFOOT has been spotted again, this time in the forests of central China, and it might have left a urine sample.

Six people, one a radio reporter, claim to have seen an ape-like figure in Shennongjia nature reserve, the official Xinhua News Agency reported yesterday.

More than 100 sightings of the creature have been reported in Shennongjia, in the forested

mountains of Hubei province, about 700 miles south-west of Beijing.

The six were in a jeep on a mountain road on Sunday when they saw a grey animal moving quickly away from them, Xinhua reported. It was about 5ft 4in tall with shoulder-length black hair.

They found several footprints about a foot long, freshly broken branches and a large patch of "foul-smelling, urine-like liquid".

One of the witnesses was Shang Zhengmin, a reporter for a radio station in the region. China, Tibet, Canada and other countries have reported sightings of large ape-like creatures - the Bigfoot, Yeti, or Sasquatch. The mystery has had the staying power of the Loch Ness monster. Some argue that the creature could be the missing link between ape and human.

At least three scientific expeditions in Shennongjia have searched for hard evidence. Aside from a hair that matched neither humans or known animals, little has emerged.
